Coming from a family that has roots in rural India, I have seen the struggle of women here. They hardly have hopes to change their current situation, let alone employment opportunities. I was fortunate enough to have the wonderful opportunity of a high standard of education and a better lifestyle. And have always wondered to be a part of something that could bring change to even one woman’s life.

I started my career in market research and business consulting. When I was consulting businesses, I took on a couple of projects on a pro bono basis. That was my little contribution to society within my personal capacity.

But my real motivation kicked in when I lost my job during Covid-19 outbreak in 2020. While I was struggling with the pandemic, I saw so many small business owners, self-employed people, my housemaid and other staff in my building suffered a lot with loss in their incomes. Hence, I started my own freelancing practice to help out these people for a nominal or no-charge. And then Women on Wings happened to me which gave me the right direction to help more people especially women on a larger scale. I am very excited to be here and be a part of the change.
