Women on Wings partner since April 2026
Madhya Bharat Consortium of Farmer Producers Company Limited (MBCFPCL) is a social enterprise organized as a collective of 2oo+Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). Headquartered in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, the organization operates across the states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Its core intervention focuses on providing umbrella support to member FPOs, particularly in sustainable agriculture, market and financial linkages, and the trading of key commodities such as soybean, wheat, and seeds.
The organization’s primary goal is to transform smallholder agriculture from a loss-making activity into a profitable livelihood enterprise by ensuring better access to markets, finance, and technologies. MBCFPCL is driving significant social change by aiming to reach 1 million farmers; it currently works with member producers, including 40% lakh women. The consortium targets a revenue increase from its current turnover.
MBCFPCL operates through a business model that leverages the economy of scale to aggregate farm produce and facilitate corporate trade and seed production. The organization manages a sophisticated supply chain that includes village-level collection centers and MIS-based tracking of farmer production and land data. Operations create direct economic opportunities for women by organizing them into exclusively women-led FPOs and targeting the support of women farmers.
Through its collaboration with Women on Wings, MBCFPCL further aims to double the number of jobs for rural women by enhancing its B2B sales partnerships and scaling value-added product processing.
Since September 2022, Women on Wings and Madhya Bharat Consortium of Farmer Producers Company Limited are collaborating on their joint goal to increase the number of jobs and co-create livelihood opportunities for women in rural India where the social enterprise is working
