Bhuvikash Krish-E Farmers Producer Company Limited (BKFPCL) is a women-led agricultural cooperative registered under the Companies Act. Operating across 33 villages in the Ganjam district of Odisha, BKFPCL’s core intervention is promoting climate-resilient farming practices and developing sustainable revenue streams through diverse agribusiness operations, including seed multiplication programs for paddy and pulse crops, and trading of commodities such as maize, groundnut, and vegetables.
The organization’s goal is to drive social change by transforming the livelihoods of women farmers in rural Odisha through profitable and climate-adaptive agribusiness, fostering long-term economic security and environmental stewardship. Established in May 2024, through a strategic partnership between Dvara E-Registry (DER) and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) under the ClimatePro initiative, the cooperative currently mobilizes 1,150 women farmers and achieved a robust inaugural turnover of Rs. 1.10 crores in the 2024-25 financial year.
BKFPCL operates through a diverse business model encompassing seed production, contract farming of high-value crops, and the supply of agricultural inputs. Governed by a five-member women board, the cooperative explicitly creates economic opportunity by enabling its 1,150 women farmer members to secure competitive prices for inputs, improve returns on produce, and access essential services like credit and marketing channels.
In September 2025, Women on Wings and Bhuvikash Krish-E Farmers Producer Company Limited (BKFPCL) and Dvara E-Registry (DER) entered a tripartite partnership which aims to co-create more employment opportunities for women in rural India.
