Women on Wings is pleased to announce the appointment of Dorothee van Vredenburch and Conny Braams to the Supervisory Board of Stichting Women on Wings as of June 1st, 2025. Their combined expertise and leadership are expected to accelerate Women on Wings’ mission to create economic independence for women in rural India.
Conny Braams: an impact-oriented, international C-suite leader
Conny’s thirty-three year career at Unilever spanned a wide variety of business, category, functional, operational and geographical settings. She has held executive leadership positions in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, giving her a deep understanding of diverse markets and cultures. Conny has also given her time and talent to numerous community organizations, including NGOs, museums and academic institutions.
A purposeful leader, Conny is driven by making a positive impact on people, organizations, the planet and society. Her extensive background in sustainability, innovation and corporate responsibility aligns with the Women on Wings’ mission. At Unilever, she led the worldwide digital transformation and reimagined marketing and sales for the digital age, significantly increasing the impact and ROI of marketing initiatives.
In line with her commitment to creating positive change, Conny has built a diverse non-executive career, serving on a variety of boards and juries, ranging from the Effie’s to the Rotterdam School of Management (EUR), the Kröller-Müller Museum and Heineken NL BV.

Dorothee van Vredenburch: a leader in organizational transformation
Until April 2025 Dorothee van Vredenburch was Executive Partner at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, an international law firm. She combines extensive experience from various leadership and entrepreneurship roles across diverse sectors, including founding and leading a pioneering management consultancy firm specializing in investor relations and financial PR.
Dorothee’s professional background includes executive positions at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, Zorg van de Zaak Netwerk, NN Group, ING Group, and Citigate First Financial. Her expertise in organizational transformation, strategic communication, and financial management will be invaluable as Women on Wings continues to grow and evolve.

Dorothee also currently serves as Chair of the Board of Stichting Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest and Directeur Koninklijke Hollandse Maatschappij der Wetenschappen, and formerly served on the Board of Junior Achievement Europe, the Advisory Board of Women in Financial Services, and as Chair of the Supervisory Board for both NN Life and Delta Lloyd Life and BeFrank.
