Team work makes the dream work

Team work makes the dream work

It is challenging enough if an organization has teams in multiple cities, but having team members in two very different countries requires even more co-ordination and understanding. That’s why Women on Wings’ team members recently enjoyed an inspiring off-site for team bonding in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.

Connecting the dots
Women on Wings has a team which comprises of men and women with three nationalities, working from multiple locations in India and the Netherlands. Shilpa Mittal Singh, joint managing director at Women on Wing: “Skype connects our people on a regular base, but because of the geographical distance we don’t meet as often as we would like to. And although the distance never hampers our work, the off-site was a great moment for the whole team to connect and spend time with each other in preparation of writing our next year’s annual plan. HR Muscle proved to be a wonderful partner; they understand exactly how to connect people and cultures in a fun, inspiring and an effective way.”

Intercultural learning
HR Muscle provided 110% fun, innovative and out of the box thinking exercises, enabling the Women on Wings team members to bond and understand how strengths and weaknesses play a role in an unknown environment, also during moments of pressure and stress. This off-site was a first of its kind for the Women on Wings team. In two days the team members learnt more about each other and each other’s cultures, making it easier to work together in future.

“Through this partnership with Women on Wings, we want to enable more women to earn their own income that will give them greater financial means to improve their livelihoods. Economic independence for women means more children can go to school, more meals per day for their families and communities, and an overall better standard of living for them and future generations”
