Women on Wings expanded its Board with a new Indian Board Member, Vidya Shah. Vidya is 48 years old and based in Mumbai. She heads the EdelGive Foundation. Formerly the CFO of the Edelweiss Group, Vidya worked with ICICI, Peregrine and NM Rothschild during her 19-year career in investment banking. Vidya has a Bachelors degree in Commerce and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
In the Board of Women on Wings Vidya adds especially her knowledge and experience in linking business knowledge with NGO’s and social enterprises in rural India as well as her knowledge on donor management.
Catalytic effect of empowering women
Vidya: “I am excited to be invited onto the Board of Women on Wings as it drives steadfastly to its mission of 1 million jobs for women by 2018.
