Rotary Hulst raises money for Women on Wings

On July 8, expert Jacqueline Duerinck received a donation of 2,000 euros for Women on Wings from the Rotary in Hulst, her birthplace in the south-west of the Netherlands. Each year Rotary Hulst organizes charity events like the ‘Reynaert Bike Ride’ and the ‘Creeks Car Rally’. The proceeds of these events are donated to a number of local and international organizations. This year, Women on Wings was amongst the organizations receiving a donation from Rotary Hulst.

Improving lifes for 200 families
Jacqueline: “Through this wonderful contribution, Women on Wings can create employment for 200 women in rural India. This results in improved life circumstances for 200 families and over 500 children will go to (a better) school. A great result for which I deeply thank my former fellow citizens from Hulst! ”

“Through this partnership with Women on Wings, we want to enable more women to earn their own income that will give them greater financial means to improve their livelihoods. Economic independence for women means more children can go to school, more meals per day for their families and communities, and an overall better standard of living for them and future generations”
