New board member links knowledge of India with Women on Wings

Vikas Chaturvedi has recently joined the board of Women on Wings. Until the end of 2012 he served as Senior Director of International Tax Structuring and head of the India Desk at PwC in Amsterdam. He has started working for the family business in Delhi since January 2013 and started his own company which will help Indian companies to enter into European market and vice versa.

Vikas: “I am unique in that I can share my knowledge, experience and network with Women on Wings. I can create the link between the Netherlands and India from my Indian roots, combined with my years of study and work in the Netherlands. Through my work and additional roles I have created a broad network in India, in the Netherlands and in Europe. I fully support the need to empower women in India. I support the way in which Women on Wings approach this by strengthening companies and creating jobs. As a board member, I can contribute to this in my own way.”

Vikas is 33 years old, married and has two children. He lives mainly in Gurgaon, a suburb of Delhi, but regularly travels to the Netherlands where, in addition to being a board member for Women on Wings, he has the following roles:
– Board Member and Managing Director of the Europe India Chamber of Commerce, Netherlands Chapter
– Board Member and Vice President of GOPIO Amsterdam
– Member of the Dutch Trade Board, India Working Group

“Women on Wings is a success with a tremendous ambition for the future. We may think it might be tough, but the team will make it!”
