Experts create job opportunities

Together, our clients and 50 Women on Wings experts managed to create 51,300 jobs in the past five years. Introducing two of our experts:

Patrick van Son works at CEVA Logistics. He has 18 years of experience in the sales and logistics service sector. For the past five years, Patrick has shared his extensive experience in international distribution, sales and management with Women on Wings. Patrick: “Women on Wings provide the practical means for implementing the knowledge and expertise required by Indian organizations. The Sanitary Pads program plays an important role in improving the lives of women and girls. My job is to research the best solutions for the sales and distribution of sanitary pads in rural areas. That’s what makes this program so inspiring. Working with Women on Wings lets you discover amazing new qualities in the country and the people and gives you the opportunity to brainstorm the best possible solution. This co-creation is what makes the job so fascinating for experts.”

Karen de Loos has worked in the marketing and communications industry for the past 25 years, 15 of which she has been an independent advisor/interim manager. Karen has gained wide-ranging experience in the (change) management and marking communication sectors. She has worked for HEMA, T-Mobile, NS, RTL, ING and KLM on assignments that ranged from strategy to implementation. Why is she so committed to the Women on Wings mission? “Why not? There’s a concrete objective: create jobs for women in rural India. I get to apply my knowledge and skills and learn from each new experience. Like how to stay committed to the ultimate goal, yet find a flexible way to reach it. I then get to apply this at home as well. I use the ‘join the dots’ principle in India and in the Netherlands. My challenge is to rise above the material side and connect the different project components and people. Karen blogs regularly about her work trips to India on the Women on Wings website.
