Desert Artisans Handicrafts Jaipur continues its growth

Desert Artisans Handicrafts (DAH) in Jaipur works with Women on Wings on creating jobs for women in rural India, and Prakash Tripathi, DAH’s managing director, also appointed women to his management team. Since Women on Wings started working with DAH in June 2010, over 500 jobs have been created. And DAH is in the process of starting with more new clusters with another 500 artisans.

DAH’s new management team worked with Women on Wings in workshops on how to look for new business opportunities in the perspectives market and products. An action plan for development of new products with prints instead of weaving was made. In the next visit we shall monitor the new products and continue exploring new markets.

“Fantastic experts, board members, employees and other stakeholders support us in our work and share the same ambition: to take rural families out of poverty by creating employment for women.”
