Sandra Blok serves as office assistant. She coordinates recurring corporate reporting, handles logistics for travel and meetings, processes correspondence regarding incoming applications and requests, and ensures the planning and documentation of Supervisory Board meetings.

Sandra was an entrepreneur and freelancer for most of her working life. In 2002, she started her own copywriting and editing agency, initially focusing primarily on publishers such as Weekbladpers and Elsevier Gezondheidszorg. Over the years, the agency expanded to include qualitative target group research and consultancy in the field of accessible digital information, particularly for the public sector, such as the Dutch Transplant Foundation (NTS), Provinces, the Central Government, and the Association of Dutch Municipalities (VNG).

In 2018, she launched Via India, a sustainable, ethical clothing store featuring collections made from exclusive Indian textiles. In the same year, she became an expert for Women on Wings. In 2024, she joined Women on Wings on a part-time basis.

“In 1986, I made my first trip to India. Since then, I have become fascinated by the country. My interest has deepened through extensive reading, from historical writings to literature, and by making many trips to various regions in India. I experience working at Women on Wings as an enormous enrichment. It is a privilege to be part of a team of people who are working every day to make a difference by striving for fair work for the many talented, resilient women of rural India.”
