Project Manager, women entrepreneurship program
Joined the Women on Wings team in April 2024
Nikhil is a Project Manager at Women on Wings with 18 years of experience building market systems that close the gap between creators and value, across entrepreneurship, textiles, IT, public systems, and the development sector.
Prior to joining Women on Wings, he served as Project Head at Econ Waste Management, leading end-to-end municipal waste management operations across 75% of Dehradun, managing 600+ ground staff within a public-private contract structure. Earlier, he ran a textile processing unit supplying global luxury brands including Lacoste and Alexander McQueen, where he witnessed a karigar earn less than Rs. 40 for a handcrafted silk scarf retailing at $400 globally. That asymmetry became the defining question of his career: how do we build systems where creators and markets grow together?
At Women on Wings, Nikhil co-leads the House of Himalayas initiative, architecting strategy, building operational systems, and scaling premium market pathways across Amazon, q-commerce, and modern retail, contributing to Rs. 4+ crore in sales and national and global listings.
“I believe the most powerful thing you can build is a market that was never designed to exclude the people who belong in it.”
