Farm Harvest, the brand name of social enterprise Sri Jayashree Food Products, provides opportunity and advanced agricultural technology for over 3,000 farmers, many of who are women. It has a unique business model that allows them to share its profits with the farmer community for their welfare. Farm Harvest works from start to finish with the farmers right from sowing the seeds to harvesting the sweet corn, so that the fresh produce quickly reaches the company for prompt processing.
Farm Harvest reaches the consumers directly through its vending kiosks and retail stores. They are also exported to different countries and bulk packs are supplied to the HoReCa sector. Farm Harvest has different formats of kiosks which are location-specific. Most of the kiosks are operated by female micro-entrepreneurs which enables livelihood for them; one of the humanitarian missions of Farm Harvest.
Women on Wings and Sri Jayashree Food Products are collaborating to realize their joint goal of increasing the number of jobs and co-create livelihood opportunities for women in rural India. Sri Jayashree Food Products runs its business from Salem, Tamil Nadu.
