Business partner since September 2021

The name Lal10 comes from the Hindi word “Lalten” which means “Lantern”. Just like the simple lantern, Lal10 is bringing light into the lives of creative manufacturers across India. Lal10 enables rural creative manufacturing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India to easily digitize, manage and sell their products to global markets. India has over 1.2 million MSMEs involved in the manufacturing of apparel, home furnishings, and decor products. Lal10 is the largest vertical platform for MSMEs for cross-border wholesale in India.

Post pandemic layers of middlemen/ export houses and traditional channels of sales like exhibitions have been disrupted. The efficient alternative with innovative technology-led solutions of Lal10 cater to these large and untapped supplies. The B2B rural-sourcing market is large and highly disorganized, but with the advent of inexpensive, ubiquitous internet and smartphones across even the rural corners of India, this sector is ripe for disruption. The social enterprise from Noida sees strong organic adoption of technology for quick market access by local manufacturers and pandemic has only accelerated its requirement.

Women on Wings and Lal10 are collaborating on their joint mission to increase the number of jobs and create livelihood opportunities for women in rural India.

“Fantastic experts, board members, employees and other stakeholders support us in our work and share the same ambition: to take rural families out of poverty by creating employment for women.”
