Expanding the Women on Wings team in India

Women on Wings is pleased to welcome two new team members. Mrs Seema Dawar joined the team on April 11, 2016 as part-time Communications professional. One week later Dr. Shashank Teotia joined as full-time Senior Business Consultant.

Growth requires expansion
The expansion of the team is in line with the growth plans of Women on Wings. Shilpa Mittal Singh, joint MD Women on Wings: “We see an ongoing increase of new partners with which we work together on creating more jobs for women in rural India. That requires more communication about our partners and work, and also more visits to our business partners. We are extremely happy to have found two professionals who not only bring a lot of corporate experience, but also a warm heart for creating an impact on the lives of rural women. Both Seema and Shashank are very complimentary to our team.”

Seema Dawar
Seema: “I have over 20 years of experience, the majority of which has been in the field of communications along with marketing. I have been absolutely inspired by the work that Women on Wings is doing since I heard of it two years ago. As my father used to say empower a woman and you empower a family. That’s what my motivation of joining Women on Wings is. To support women in rural India be more independent.”

Shashank Teotia
Shashank: “I quit my 14 years corporate career to work for providing better life through quality education to underprivileged children. I fortunately crossed paths with Women on Wings and the unique platform it provides to empower the women through financial independence immediately connected the cord. An opportunity to create an impact on a wider canvas and seeing what was already achieved, I was compelled to be part of this change and co-create a better sustainable future for women in rural India.”
