Wingreens Farms takes huge steps in growth

Women on Wings business partner Wingreens Farms is growing fast and wants to maintain its quality and ‘first mover advantage’. Therefor the management requested Women on Wings to support them to look into options for expanding the organization. Last week expert Anita Joosten and Supriya Kapoor, Senior Business Consultant for Women on Wings, worked on the growth scenario with the management of Wingreens Farms.

Simply the best: farm – fresh – homemade
Anju Srivastava, founder and Director of Wingreens Farms: “The natural dips that we produce are new to India. Our ingredients are carefully grown by female farmers and processed by women in our own processing units. I take pride in having the most qualified people which enables us to produce the best quality in organic, homemade products. We all work with passion but at the same time a good business sense tells us we need to work on our strategy. We’re the first in this kind of business and I have the ambition to prove that we can serve the fast growing consumer market in India. I’m convinced we can compete with larger companies that produce in factories. Nothing can compete with farm fresh homemade.”

Passion and business sense go hand in hand
Anita Joosten, expert for Women on Wings: “Wingreens Farms will professionalize its organization by attracting senior management that can manage the next steps in the growth scenario. For this, we looked at the various scenarios for growth related to different ways of raising capital. It’s amazing to see how much they’ve grown since I worked with them last September. The passion of Anju, combined with her immense business and marketing sense, is again very inspiring for me.”

Entering new areas
Wingreens Farms’ vision is to become the perfect model organization that proves that, while resolving some of the biggest deadlocks that have paralyzed Indian society & industry for centuries, and by enriching people and the land around us, an organization can grow profitable and successful in a short amount of time. Wingreens sells its products at a fast expanding network of supermarkets, at Fabindia, one of India’s leading producer and retailer of handcrafted goods made the traditional way and at Snapdeal, one of India’s largest e-commerce platforms. Started in the Delhi-Gurgaon area, it recently started supplying to retailers in the Mumbai area successfully. New locations are in process.
