That is what these women, who we met in Baramati last week, do. As farmers they sow, look after, grow and harvest the crops. Decide what kind of products they can sell in the neighboring market. Papad’s, noodles or something else. And once they processed the food in handsome packages they go door to door to sell it in their own village or neighbor villages. Since they are experts in cooking too and understand exactly what a family next door needs and appreciates, they run a pretty good business. From the beginning to the end they care for everything and everyone involved.
We asked them what do they dream of and they were very clear on that: to build a big overseas business. We can only be humble and hope to contribute a bit to their goal.
