Connecting art with rural Indian women

From 16 to 19 January, the Art Fair REALISME is being held for the eleventh time in the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam. This year, the art fair is supporting Women on Wings in its aim to create 1 million jobs for women in rural India. Women on Wings speaks during a reception which is specially organized for friends of various museums on 17 January.

Art Fair REALISME is the only fair where only contemporary figurative art shows. 27 renowned galleries from home and abroad are showing and selling works by Dutch and international artists who have specialized in the figuration and realism

More information about the Art Fair, such as opening hours, entrance tickets and participants can be found here.

“Through this partnership with Women on Wings, we want to enable more women to earn their own income that will give them greater financial means to improve their livelihoods. Economic independence for women means more children can go to school, more meals per day for their families and communities, and an overall better standard of living for them and future generations”
