Experience + inspiration + drive = successful entrepreneurship

Experience + inspiration + drive = successful entrepreneurship

On October 10, the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship was launched. This is a platform in which alumni are assigned to students for the purpose of promoting entrepreneurship. Maria van der Heijden, co-founder of Women on Wings, is one of the alumni portrayed as a role model in the introductory film for the Erasmus Centre.

The Erasmus Centre organizes seminars, meetings, pitches and other forms of interaction and communication. Almost every week, Maria holds presentations for companies, students, Rotary clubs, managers, entrepreneurs, etc. Although these usually take place at a company or university, a presentation was recently held on a bus for the New Business Models study group from Radboud University (Nijmegen) during a tour of the province of Gelderland. Read more about the tour.

Telling the story of Women on Wings and its founders and entrepreneurs helps us achieve our objective by engaging the interest of experts and obtaining funding for our activities.

“Through this partnership with Women on Wings, we want to enable more women to earn their own income that will give them greater financial means to improve their livelihoods. Economic independence for women means more children can go to school, more meals per day for their families and communities, and an overall better standard of living for them and future generations”
