Women on Wings and ONGC ran a small employment generation pilot program in Sivasagar District of Assam, through manufacturing of all-natural disposable plates and bowls made from arecanut (palm) tree leaves through Women on Wings’ business partner Tamul Pates involving 50 overall last mile beneficiaries. The joint program, which was funded by ONGC, was successfully completed in 2018.
A second program could not be materialized due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
