New website for Women on Wings

Women on Wings launched its new website on March 1st, 2016. The site focusses stronger on why and how the organization plans to create 1 million jobs for women in rural India. It also includes a quick scan for potential business partners which serves as a first screening for new partnerships.

Feedback from business partners
Namratha Rao, expert in Communications for Women on Wings: “Last year June we kicked off ‘project website 3.0’ and I took on the role of project manager. I interviewed experts in the Netherlands, business partners in India and I did a lot of research. Starting with analyzing our own website. Does it bring clarity on why Women on Wings wants to create jobs in India and how do they go about it? Does it match the requirements for mobile devices? Is it easy to maintain by the Women on Wings team in India? The outcomes resulted in a complete overhaul.”

Indian – Dutch co-creation
Ineke Bezembinder, Office Management and Communication at Women on Wings: ”The site is constructed by Jan Battem. The design is by Henk Seelt. He designs all our means of communication, starting with the Women on Wings logo, our annual reports, our famous visiting booklets. You name it and Henk designed it. This website looked like a challenge since I work in India and Jan, Henk and Namratha in the Netherlands but we managed to co-create a beautiful new site.”
