Women empowerment joint mission
Earlier that day PM Modi met PM Mark Rutte and King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands. Máxima’s meeting with the Indian Prime Minister also has to do with her role as UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development. Her Majesty is committed to women empowerment which is also high on agenda for PM Modi. Dr Vikas Chaturvedi: “PM Modiji briefly touched upon this subject during his address to the Indian community in The Hague. Women on Wings is committed to partner with mission of PM Modi on women empowerment.” So far Women on Wings has already co-created 221,000 jobs for women in rural India.

“Through this partnership with Women on Wings, we want to enable more women to earn their own income that will give them greater financial means to improve their livelihoods. Economic independence for women means more children can go to school, more meals per day for their families and communities, and an overall better standard of living for them and future generations”
