Connecting fashion brands to handmade fabrics
Women on Wings and GoCoop have been collaborating since 2015. It worked together on various topics such as business planning, buying cycles of internationals retailers and sales & marketing activities around these clients. The partners also discussed the topics around sustainability and how the handloom co-operatives present a very different alternative to the traditional textile supply chains across the world. It’s a joint ambition to take this agenda forward and more fashion brands and retailers would adopt sourcing of handmade fabrics through cooperatives, impacting the lives of even more rural artisans.
